Gaming Arts links-up with Jumbo Technology

It has been announced today that end to end gaming technology provider, Gaming Arts, has linked-up with Taiwanese supplier Jumbo Technology.

The link-up sees the formation of a partnership that will bring about a new gambling game for the casino industry in North America, Ocean Phoenix.

Gaming Arts, who provides electronic gaming machines, electronic table games and bingo and keno games will collaborate with the gaming supplier in Taiwan to introduce a ‘one of a kind’ gaming experience to the North American market.

The game, which is well received in Asia, made its debut in the United States and Canada when it became available and offers players a multiplayer fishing experience like no other.

This partnership was formed last year at the Global Gaming Expo and due to high demand and interest of this impressive and unique gaming machine, it was fast-tracked to the North American market within just four months of the partnership formation.

According to reports, Ocean Phoenix is seven and a half foot long and is a gaming machine like no other. The cabinet has room for six players to play and all players participate at the same time, with a screen providing interactive gameplay at the centre of the console.

Through independent gameplay, players compete to fish for the ‘four beasts’ of the game, including the Mighty Phoenix, the Ancient Crocodile, the Flawless Octopus and the Elegant Mermaid.

For each beast captured, players are awarded credit and weaponry, which in turn can assist with capturing more targets and landing big winning opportunities.

Jean Venneman of Gaming Arts commented on the partnership and new game:

Ocean Phoenix is unlike any gaming machine now on casino floors. We are pleased to work with Jumbo to bring this exciting game to the North American markets.

The arcade style cabinet will attract players and build a loyal fan-base as they encounter exciting characters and numerous opportunities to Win Big!

Allen Hsu of Jumbo Technology also provided comments on the collaboration:

We are very exhilarated to have this opportunity to launch our first multi- player Fishing Game, which has been popular in Asia, in one of the best casinos in North America.

It’s been a privilege to work hand in glove with Gaming Arts for this project, and we are hoping the game will provide US Players an exceptional gaming experience.
