Play'n Go 'very thankful' for new Gibraltar license award

One of the world’s leading iGaming game developers, Play’n Go, has today announced that it has been awarded a new license for Gibraltar by the Licensing Authority of Gibraltar and that it is ‘very thankful’ for the B2B award.

The new license, a Remote Gambling Operator’s License, is for one of the most prominent gambling regions in the world, in which the software developer marks its entry, the second new market of the month having previously secured a supplier license for Ontario, Canada.

This new license announcement comes just days after the developer released its latest casino game, Eye of Atum, and marks a significant milestone in the company’s history, allowing the brand to provide players of operator sites in the region with top titles such as Book of Dead, Raging Rex 2, Rise of Olympus and Reactoonz among others from the 1st April 2022.

According to reports, this new market entry and license is part of Play’n Go’s growth and expansion strategy as the firm looks to strike new operator partnerships in the jurisdiction.

Additionally, the move also provides a boost to the firms operational plans and games offering, whereby the firms footprint and presence is increased, which, in turn will bring about a wider audience reach and new distribution opportunities.

Play’n Go is one of the world’s most prominent brands in the iGaming industry and the developers extensive portfolio includes like Book of Dead, Legacy of Dead, Fire Joker and Safari of Wealth among others, which will now be readily available to gambling operator players under the Gibraltar license region.

Sissel Weitzhandler of Play’n Go commented on the new Gibraltar license award:

We are very thankful to the Licensing Authority of Gibraltar for this license award. Gibraltar is an important jurisdiction to our strategy, and we look forward to working with existing and new partners through our own license.

Magnus Olsson, also of Play’n Go shared comments on the new market entry and outlined what it means for the company going forward:

Following closely after securing our supplier license for Ontario last month, it’s exciting to now be able to add a Gibraltarian license to the breadth of our offering.

Play’n GO’s ability to work with operators across jurisdictions in regulated markets all around the world is unrivalled, especially with the addition of a Gibraltarian license.

Add in the power of our full content portfolio, in addition to the strength of our technology, and operators now recognise the true value of working with a supplier that is laser focused on regulated markets.
