ONJN grants license to Hacksaw Gaming in Romania

An announcement has been made today that the Romanian National Gambling Office, Oficiul National pentru Jocuri de Noroc (ONJN), has granted Hacksaw Gaming with a Class II license, allowing the iGaming developer to go live in Romania.

The Malta-based software provider is consistently growing its presence across key markets around the world and this latest license award follows the most recent to the brand in the Isle of Man.

Following a successful year so far, Hacksaw Gaming is continuously striking new partnerships and entering new regulated gambling markets with Romania the latest on the list, which now joins other popular gambling destinations such as United Kingdom, Spain, Denmark and Sweden.

In the coming weeks, slot players in Romania can expect to see online slots introduced to the market from Hacksaw Gaming as the provider looks to strike further content supply agreements with online gambling operators in the country, following the initial launch with leading brand NetBet.

Earlier in the month, Hacksaw Gaming and NetBet formed the basis of a partnership that saw the provider supply a ‘first batch’ of games from the extensive portfolio.

Games that are now readily available to Romanian players following the license award include Chaos Crew, Joker Bombs and Wanted Dead or a Wild among others.

Reportedly, this new Romanian license marks a significant milestone in the provider’s history and is yet another positive step in the year, in which new players will be able to experience the thrill of games from Hacksaw Gaming.

Additionally, the software provider is looking to utilise the license and initial NetBet partnership to further grow its presence and relationships with other gambling operators in the region.

Marcus Cordes of Hacksaw Gaming shared comments about the new license and what it means to the firm:

It’s another positive move for 2022. We are ecstatic to be able to provide our games to the Romanian market, and we are sure our games will go down well with our new players.

We look forward to expanding our operations in this market in the coming months and consolidate our existing markets with new and engaging content.
