The Arizona Department of Gaming has busted two illegal gambling operation in Phoenix Arizona. According to the latest reports coming from European gaming, “The Arizona Department of Gaming led a combined operation to execute warrants related to illegal gambling operations.”
A team of police officers from Phoenix and Glendale and officials from the Arizona Department of Gambling executed the joint operation. Two illegal gaming operations were taking place at Lan Anh Billiards, 2635 W. Bethany Home Road and Thanh Long Billiards, near 35th Avenue and Indian School Road.
In a statement release after the crackdown on the illegal gambling operations, the ADG announced that the officers had seized approximately $1 million in cash and many different sophisticated illegal gambling devices amongst other pieces of equipment.
The ADG will send the case to the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office for prosecution. According to the laws for illegal gambling, the suspects whose names have not been revealed by the ADG can face charges to the count of 5 class felony for conducting organized criminal activities.
In a release after the successful operation, Ted Vogt, director of the ADG said is a release: “I wish to thank our agents, as well as our partners in the Phoenix and Glendale police departments for their hard work.”
“The Arizona Department of Gaming takes its duty to enforce the gambling laws in our state seriously. Our agents are steadfast in thoroughly investigating all suspected illegal gambling activities to protect the public and ensure compliance with the law,” he added.
