Another Illegal Gambling Den Busted In Long Beach, 11 Arrested

Another illegal online gambling den was busted on Wednesday as Long Beach police arrested 11 people in a raid and seized illegal gambling machines that were connected to an illegal gambling establishment.

The swat team and Vice Detectives served a search warrant in the 2300 block of Pacific Avenue. The detectives had already received information regarding illegal activities in the house.

About 40 people were detained for interrogation as the investigators raided the location. The police officers confirmed that three illegal gambling machines, four firearms, two stolen vehicles and $5,000 in cash were also seized from the location. They have also confirmed to have found ammunition and narcotics.

While 40 were detained, 11 were arrested. Those arrested are:

-Channy Teng, 38, of Torrance on an outstanding warrant;
-Oscar Vasquez, 27, of Long Beach on an outstanding warrant;
-Monserret Lopez, 37, of South Gate on an outstanding warrant;
-Yvette Smith, 35, of San Pedro on an outstanding warrant and possession of a controlled substance;
-Sokhom Nget, 38, of Artesia on an outstanding warrant;
-Michael Johnson, 28, of Carson on suspicion of unlawful possession of ammunition;
-Christian Yap, 38, of Carson on suspicion of illegal possession of a firearm;
-Christopher Metz, 38, of Long Beach on an outstanding warrant;
-Anthony Newman, 34, of Long Beach on four outstanding warrants;
-Danielle Leigh, 51, of Lakewood on an outstanding warrant;
-Thomas Rodriguez, 46, of Lomita on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance for sale.

Earlier last week, the Swat team and K-9 Officers had unveiled illegal gambling operations in the Long beach arresting 8 people.
