Trevor Croker, CEO of Aristocrat Leisure Ltd has been elected as the new chairman of the American Gaming Association (AGA).
The AGA released a statement confirming that the new chairman will take office for a two-year term in January 2020.
Croker replaces outgoing AGA chairman Tim Wilmott who also serves as the president and CEO of Penn National Gaming.
”It’s been an honor to serve the gaming industry as chairman of AGA the past two years. I’m proud of the strides we’ve made to highlight gaming’s role as an economic engine and mainstream form of entertainment. The future of the organization and industry is bright with Trevor and Bill (Miller’s) leadership,” said Tim Wilmott, the outgoing AGA chairman.
Commenting on the appointment, Croker said: “It’s a great privilege to lead the AGA during a time of great growth and change in the gaming industry. I look forward to continuing the progress made under Tim (Wilmott’s) leadership to modernize the industry and make responsible gaming a signature priority.”
Earlier in July, the American Gaming Association (AGA) restructured its leadership by promoting members to senior leadership positions.
The strategic decision is being seen as a part of the organization’s enhanced focus on industry modernization, communications, and advocacy’.
The AGA announced Dan Bretl as its new Senior Vice President of Strategy & Operations.
The trade group confirmed the promotion of Casey Clark as Senior Vice President of Strategic Communications. It has also promoted Chris Cylke as Vice President of Government Relations.
