Stockholm-listed online gambling company Aspire Global has got a UK online bingo license approved by the UK Gambling Commission.
Following the grant of the UK Bingo License, Aspire Global will now be able to expand its B2B product portfolio in the UK. The company can now enter into long-term agreements with its existing partners, and new UK online casino and sports betting licenses.
In his statement to the press, Aspire Global CEO Tsachi Maimon said: “Aspire Global is excited about the opportunity to extend our offering to current and potential partners in the UK. Having a broad license is a competitive advantage enabling us to gain market share in regulated markets, all in line with our long-term growth plan.”
Recently, Aspire Global Plc confirmed that they have entered into an acquisition deal with online casino content developer Pariplay. At the time of the announcement of the deal, Pairplay held icenses by the gambling regulators of the UK, Malta, Curacao, and Romania, and Gibraltar.
Earlier in April this year, the Swedish gambling authority slapped a fine of SEK 3 Million (US $321,000) on Aspire Global’s Subsidiary AG Communication.
AG Communications, a subsidiary of Aspire global, allowed self-excluded gamblers access to gambling products and services. The gambling regulator found that the company did not stop problem gamblers from accessing gambling products on 13 online gambling sites for which they have a Swedish License. Their most prominent site Karamba.com was also in the list of sites violating the guidelines.
