In a filing with the Philippine Securities and Exchange Commission on Thursday the Philippine operator of Asian casinos Bloomberry Resorts Corp said that they would offer a special cash dividend of PHP0.15 (US$0.003) a share, payable on April 16 to shareholders on record on April 5, reports GGR Asia.
The Bloomberry resorts operate two Casinos, the Solaire Resort, and Casino in Manila and the Jeju Sun Hotel and Casino on the South Korean island of Jeju.
The firm said to the Philippine Securities and Exchange Commission that the said “special cash dividend” would be paid from the revenues retained and kept in reserve as on December 31, 2018.
In the filing, the company also revealed that they had more than 11 billion shares outstanding. It calculates to over PHP1.65 billion to be paid in dividends as per the PHP0.15 (US$0.003) per share special cash dividend.
Earlier this month the company had also announced that their profits increased in 2018. For the FY ending 31 Dec 2018, the company grossed approximately PHP 7.17 billion. It was also an 18% increase in the company’s revenue from 2017. Also, this is the highest grossed revenue by the operator in a single year, since they had their Manila resort operating from 2013.
The company also recorded a 14 percent growth in its annual consolidated gaming revenue which is estimated at PHP48.2 billion.
