Caesars Harrah’s Northern California Casino is all set to begin operations in two weeks. While the casino starts accepting guests and wagers starting April 29, the opening ceremony will be held on May 17.
The casino is a partnership between gaming and gambling giant Caesars Entertainment and Buena Vista Rancheria Me-Wuk tribe.
The new project has created over 400 full-time jobs apart from those involved in the construction and development of the property. According to the operators, most of the positions are already full. The company has said that at least 80 percent of the workforce employed at the venue are locals.
To begin with, the casino will offer 20 table games and has 100 slot machines. Apart from gaming the 71,000-square-foot venue also has a restaurant and dining space; however, there is no accommodation facility as such, but the operators have revealed their plans to construct a hotel as well.
Sharing the details of the property, Assistant General Manager Lisa Yahrling said, “Nine hundred fifty slot machines, 20 tables games, we’ll have quick serve restaurants with Mexican, Asian and American food. Louis Oliver’s is our nice dining restaurant.”
The new casino has brought significant employment in the region and with 400 new jobs of which over 300 are given to locals makes the Harrah’s Northern California Casino one of the largest employers in Amador County.
Focussing on the security measures the operators are also working with the local police to ensure that there are frequent patrols during the peak hours.
