Casino Mogul Stanley Ho’s Nephew Sentenced For Prostitution

Asian Casino Mogul Stanley Ho’s nephew Alan Ho has been sentenced again for 8 years for prostitution. In 2016, Alan Ho had been previously sentenced for 13 months in connection with operating a prostitution ring at Hotel Lisboa.

The court found him guilty on charges of sexual exploitation. The casino mogul’s nephew was arrested after the police busted a massive prostitution ring at Hotel Lisboa which is owned by SJM Holdings.

After Ho served his initial sentence in police custody has released. However, the prosecutors pressed further charges of criminal association and exploiting prostitution activities.

On Monday, the court sentenced Ho again for an eight year term in the prison.

Earlier in the year, Stanley Ho was himself embroiled in a controversy in connection with Melco’s deal with Australia’s Crown Resorts.

The Australian gambling regulator had given its nod for the casino in 2014 on condition that Crown would not do business with Stanley Ho who at the time was under investigation in Australia and the United States for possible ties to organized crime.

Following the deal with Melco, the company had to issue a statement that said Stanley Ho did not hold any position in the board of the company or any of its related entities and is not involved in the company’s business operations.
