While the football season is yet to start, the recently launched DraftKings Sportsbook at del Lago Resort & Casino in Seneca County has grossed over $83k in the first three days of operations.
The casino posted total sports betting revenue of $83,516 for the week ending Sunday, August 25. The dEL Lago sportsbook began operations on Friday, August 23.
The sportsbook’s revenue figures also represent second-highest sports betting revenue generated by non-Indian commercial casinos in the state. Rivers Casino and Resort in Schenectady reported $168,743 in sports betting revenue in its first week of business last month.
Resorts World Catskills, which is sold to Malaysian investors amidst acute financial crisis reported $27,836 in sports wagering revenue. Tioga Downs Casino grossed $13,632 in its first week.
Malaysian investors, Kien Haust and Genting Malaysia struck a deal with Empire Resorts, the company which operates the upstate New York’s largest casino, to purchase all remaining shares of the casino resort, Resorts World Catskills. The investors already owned about 86 percent of the casino resort.
dEL Lago Casino has partnered with online sports betting services provider DraftKings for its sportsbook. The sports betting lounge at the gambling facility boasts of 6,000-square-foot dedicated sports betting area and over two dozen self-service kiosks to place bets.
Draftkings recently launched an online mobile betting app in West Virginia. Following the launch of the DraftKings app in West Virginia, players will now be able to use a native sportsbook app on mobile or any internet-enabled device to wager on their favorite sporting events.
