Global Gaming To Appeal Against Swedish Gambling Regulator’s Decision To Revoke Ninja Casino License

Global gaming, the company which owns and operates Ninja Casino brand through its subsidiary in Sweden has confirmed that they will appeal against the Swedish gambling regulator’s decision to revoke its license to operate the Ninja Casino brand.

Earlier on Monday, the Swedish gambling regulator announced to revoke the license of SafeEnt, Global Gaming’s subsidiary which operates the Ninja casino in Sweden and asked the operator to cease operations with immediate effect.

The gambling regulator said that after reviewing the casino’s operations, it found “significant deficiencies” in the’ company’s anti-money-laundering measures. The gambling regulator suspended operations citing that SafeEnt, the company operating Ninja Casino has no regard for the country’s new gambling laws and that it had offered several bonuses at more than one occasion. It also said that the casino had resorted to customer profiling and was lax with its KYC procedures.

Tobias Fagerlund, the acting CEO of Global Gaming, termed the gambling regulator’s decision as odd. He said that the company has not failed the compliance standards and that his legal advisors believe that there are no shortcomings as per the license agreement terms.

The’ company’s acting CEO also confirmed that they would appeal the decision and said that they “have good reasons to believe that we will have success in an appeal.”
