Hard Rock President Jim Allen Vows To Build More Than A Casino In Athens

In a recent interview, Jim Allen, the president of the global hospitality and casino giant Hard Rock International has said that they would build more than a casino at the Elliniko site in Athens.

Recently, Hard Rock submitted its proposal and revealed plans to develop the Elliniko casino.

The Hard Rock president said that they would also significantly boost tourism in Athens given an opportunity to develop one.

“At Elliniko, we want to develop an integrated tourism and entertainment complex that will be much more than just a box with slot machines and gaming tables,” he said.

Commenting on the project he said that “In our estimate, the whole investment will be significantly higher than 1 billion euros.”

Operators are to submit their binding proposals by the end of September.

Responding to why the company has chosen to bid for a casino license in Athens, Jim said that they believe that Athens, and Attica in general, is one of the top urban destinations globally.

One of the most important cities in the world: a combination of one of the most important ancient civilizations, with an important history, a lot of sea and sunshine, and constantly growing international recognition.
