Harrah’s Northern California casino is all set to accept rollers from today. The casino is a partnership between Caesars Entertainment Corp and Buena Vista Rancheria of Me-Wuk Indians.
The casino is located on a sprawling 71,000 sq ft property about 32 miles south of Sacramento. The casino is equipped with 1,000 slot games and 20 gaming tables.
The entire costs for the development of the facility are estimated to be around $168 million. While the property offers a multi-cuisine restaurant, currently, it does not provide any accommodation facility as such. However, the management has revealed plans for developing a hotel attached to the property.
Talking to a local television broadcaster, KCRA-TV, Lisa Yahrling from Harrah’s Northern California, said: “I would describe this as kind of modern but also fitting in with the landscape; so we’re not big and flashy outside. I think it really fits in with the laid back and relaxed feeling of Amador County.”
She had also said that the new casino would also create jobs for locals. The casino is expected to generate full-time employment for over 500 people. The representatives from the Casino has assured that over 80 percent of the recruitments will be from the locals in the area – mostly from communities such as Ione, Carbondale, and Sunnybrook.
Earlier we had reported that the new venue will begin operations in two weeks.
The casino will be operated by Caesars Entertainment based out of Las Vegas.
