iSoftBet Secures A B2bTech. License In Malta

Gaming content supplier iSoftBet has been granted a B2B technology license by the Malta Gaming Authority. With the license, iSoftBet will now be able to supply its online and mobile gaming content to licensed operators in Malta.

The casino and betting content supplier termed the award of license as “a key regulatory landmark.” It is looking forward to capitalizing on the host of opportunities that follow as “number of brands are investing heavily in the area, pursuing a mix of established and fresh content for the iGaming industry during the busiest time of the year.”

Mark Halstead, compliance manager at iSoftBet, explained: “We are one of the most certified and compliant suppliers in the iGaming industry. Malta is a key milestone for iSoftBet, and we’re delighted to have gone through the licensing process with flying colors.

“This enables us to both extend our relationships with existing tier-one customers as well as gain access to a wealth of potential new clients. Malta is attracting an increasing number of well-known operators and we’re excited about what the future holds there.”

Recently, Moneyval, which is a prominent Committee of Experts on the Evaluation of Anti-Money Laundering Measures and the Financing of Terrorism, has said that Malta needs to do more to rein in the syndicates which are involved with financial crimes including money-laundering and terrorist financing.

In its report, charging the Maltese government, Moneyval said that they need to do more to ensure there is no money laundering in their banking and online gambling industry in particular.

Following the Moneyval report, Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) revoked Star World’s license as it found the gambling operator violating the gaming compliance and enforcement regulations.
