Lottery And Scratch-Off Operator Breaks Retail Sales Record

USA – It has been reported today that a lottery and scratch-off operator; Florida Lottery, has broken the record for total retail sales in a single week with a figure touching on 150 billion dollars.

Florida Lottery is a government-run organization in the state of Florida. As a partner of Scientific Games Corporation, the firm operates a number of on-line and scratch-off games. Scientific Games Corporation is an American corporation that provides gambling products and services to lottery and gambling organizations, its products include computerized and mechanical slot machines, table games, iGaming and iLottery products, instant lottery games, lottery gaming systems, terminals and services.

Deputy Secretary of Product and Sales at Florida Lottery Justin Rock commented on the record breaking news:

“We are proud that our continued focus on our instant game products has broken another U.S. record, and even more excited that our collaboration with Scientific Games has generated more funding to enhance education in Florida. This a testament to the careful research, planning and marketing that goes into our Scratch-offs so they provide an enjoyable entertainment value to Floridians.”

Instant games are one of the core product lines at Florida Lottery, accounting for almost seventy percent of its total sales on average. ‘Instant games range in price from $1 to $30, with higher priced tickets typically putting out a higher percentage of sales back into prizes. Payouts range from 58% to almost 77% of sales and average 70%’.
