The Missouri Gaming commission is proposing that Mark Twain Casino be fined for $50,000 for multiple cheating incidents between December 2016 and August 2017.

In a Monthly meeting held in Jefferson City, the MGC unanimously approved for a, “preliminary order for disciplinary action” says that the LaGrange casino be penalised for failure to take corrective action and for not immediately reporting suspicions that gaming laws were being violated.

The Casino will have 30 days to appeal the recommendation or the action becomes final.

The incidents were finally brought to the attention of MGC on Aug. 1, 2017 by the Casino’s surveillance manager and director of Casino operations. Investigation was done for the incident and found that, “aiding others in cheating, lack of Table game supervisions and failing to report such violations.”

MGC got to know about these incidents, they fired three employees from the casino, who were involved in the matter of cheating.

” The Table game supervisor and the pit manager have both, in fact, pled guilty up in Lewis Country Circuit Court of cheating in gambling games, and the charges against the table games, dealers are still pending,” said Ed Grewach, general council for the Missouri Gaming Commission.

“We questioned probably 20 to 25 witnesses in connection with the criminal matter. Once that was sent to the prosecutor, then we started to approach it from the administrative disciplinary side.”

This wednesday, some documents were presented at meeting outlines some of the way casino employees and patrons were cheating at various table games.

By Changing the outcomes of the game, the report said, patrons would benefit “by keeping losing wagers, and the dealers in turn, would also benefit from the extra tips left by those cheating patrons.”

On Feb 6, McCarthy said, the court suspended the imposition of Wolter’s sentence, placed him on five years, supervised probation. He was also banned from casinos, including Mark Twain Casino, for Life.
