The Novomatic Group has said that it has now secured the prestigious G4 award in the gaming industry’s most important business segments. It also said that it is now Austria’s first company to have been honored with the G4 award and is also the first in its segment in the world.
G4 is a safe gaming international standard. It is also amongst the most accepted standards for responsible gambling.
“The Novomatic Group is one of the largest gaming technology companies in the world, employing more than 30,000 people. This means we have a special responsibility and will certify the majority of our business in line with the strictest player protection standards around the world.
This creates a minimum standard that is high across the Group, thereby enabling us to help our customers to use our products and services in a safe and conscientious way,” said Novomatic CEO, Harald Neumann.
“This recognition underscores our industry leadership and bears testimony to our efforts to provide responsible entertainment.”
Earlier in the year, Gaming technology supplier Novomatic AG posted a significant decline of 68.8 percent year-on-year in profits for the first six months to June 30.
The company generated a total profit of EUR34.3 million (US$37.7 million) in the first six months of 2019.
The company has blamed the performance of its Australian slot machine maker Ainsworth Game Technology Ltd and said that it has significantly dampened its profits so far this year.
