Though later than expected, Oregon Lottery has launched its online sports betting app Scoreboard. Earlier the regulator had expected to launch online sports betting before the beginning of the NFL season this fall.
“The website is live,” Public Information Manager Matt Shelby said. “That’s also where you download the Android version of the app. The Apple app will be available in the Apple store.”
The app currently does not allow for betting on college-level sporting events.
It supports single-game bets, parlays and in-game wagers on professional sports only. It also requires bettors to be located within the state of Oregon and off tribal lands before wagers can be placed. Deposits up to $250,000 are allowed.
While mobile sports betting was launched today, earlier in the year in August, Oregon became the12th US state to launch sports betting operations.
The Chinook Winds Casino in the state became the first gambling venue to launch sports betting.
Following the launch of in-person sports betting, Oregon Lottery partnered with SBTech to launch mobile sports betting before the beginning of the NFL season in September. However, the pans got delayed and it was today almost over a month since the current football season started that the state could launch its much-awaited mobile betting App.
