The Poker Club on Tuesday has announced the cancellation of the forthcoming 2019 Poker King Club Macau Tournament. This is an event that was scheduled to hold from 15th of March to the 21st of March at the Venetian Macao poker room of the club’s casino resort. According to the press release by the promoter, the organizer of the event made a decision to put the Macau tournament on hold as a result of some “unforeseen circumstances”. Suffice to mention that the organization is yet to offer an explicit reason for this annulment.
The Poker King Club promoter went further to emphasize that the decision to cancel the event was arrived upon with the greatest regret, especially because of the state that the club has left the players that have given the event their complete support. He also said that the club hopes to move on from this situation while continuing to offer players the best of poker service in future.
It is essential to mention that the first Poker King Cup Macau took place in 2017 and the 2019 edition had been slated to feature a total of fourteen events, including the HKD16,500 main event and the HKD200,000 Buy-in super high roller event valued at $25,479USD.
In a bid to cushion the effect of possible loss on the part of the player, Poker King Club has announced that it will refund part of the flight ticket and hotel costs of players who already made paid reservations to participate at the event.
According to Poker King Club’s corporate website, the company presently has three different poker rooms to its name, which include Poker King Club Manila located at Solaire Resort and the Casino Manila in Philippines; Poker King Club Macau located at Venetian Macao, and Poker King Club Korea located at Maison Glad Hotel Jeju, Jeju Island, South Korea.
It is important to mention that the first Poker King Club room was opened in 2009 at the Galaxy Entertainment Group Limited’s Star World Hotel. This poker room was christened after the Hong Kong film that starred Sean Lau Ching Wan and Louis Koo.
