The Houston police raided a game room for the fourth time; seven people have been charged with money laundering. Of the seven accused, five have been arrested.

The recent raid comes after there were multiple reports of illegal gambling activities and money laundering. Harris County Precinct 1 Constable Alan Rosen said that the raid was carried on after an year-long investigation.

It has been reported that the game room takes anything between $60,000 and $100,000 daily.

Talking to the press, Rosen said: “This is a game room that steals from people on fixed incomes. There’s a crime that happens in and around these places. We’ve had people use Lone Star cards that they’ve traded off to gamble.”

He also confirmed that the police had been receiving multiple anonymous complaints.

Earlier in May, two social poker clubs, Post Oak Poker Club and the Prime Social Poker Club, came under the radar of Houston authorities for violating the state’s gambling regulations. The authorities conducted raids at the venues arresting nine people for the alleged violations.
