For Pennsylvania’s Casino, slot machines played a huge role in record revenue earning in 2018. According to a recent statistics, the Pennsylvania Gaming Control board, the slot machines and table games in casino produced a record gross revenue total of $3,248,681,377. It is the highest ever total in the industry’s 13 years of operation.
“We continue to see slots and table games produce a significant revenue through the states, Doug Harbaugh, a spokesperson for the casino told Harrisburg CBS.
“We are no.2 in the United States in Casino Revenue, No. 1 in tax revenue. Legal gaming in Pennsylvania, from a financial standpoint, has been very very successful.”
Slot Machines grew 1.8 percent in 2018. Half of Pennsylvania’s casinos recorded increased slot machines in 2018.
The big winners was Valley Forge Casino Resort, which witnessed slot machines revenue growth of more than 10 percent.
According to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette: “The 2018 figure reflects how slot machines continue to be the dominant drive of Patrons and finances for casino, representing 73% of gambling revenue.
Overall, slot machines brought in $2.37bn for Pennsylvania last year compared with $878.8m from table games.
In spite of all this, table games revenue dropped in 2018. Table games earnings in Pennsylvania casino went from $890,697,914 in 2017 to $878,796,174 in 2018, a decline of 1.34 percent.
The total returns posted by Pennsylvania casino in 2018 were mixed. Total gaming revenue generated was a record number in 2018.
