Saipan Casino Operator CEO Quits after less than a year


Imperial Pacific International (CNMI) LLC has announced the resignation of chief executive Henry Cheang. A Casino complex on Saipan, part of Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, a US jurisdiction in the western Pacific.

The Operating unit has made this announcement recently on this Friday. They did not give any reasons for Mr. Cheang resignation. He was at that post from last 1 year.

The Statement said by the operating unit of Hong Kong listed Imperial Pacific Internationals Ltd. Was greatful for the services by Mr Cheang’s service in a range of different roles over three years and adding that, “major contribution for the Company’s success”.

In report related to his resignation, the Marinas Variety Newspaper noted that Mr Cheang become Chief Executive of operating unit in January.

In the latest interim balance sheet filed at the end of August, Imperial Pacific said VIP rolling chip was about HKD100.3 billion for the first six months of year 2018, down 48.9 percent in the correspondence period last year.

In July last year, the listed entity said it has reached an agreement with the Saipan authorities to amend the license and downsize the scale of the development.

Imperial Pacific had already mentioned building a facility with 329 rooms in four or five star hotels, gaming area of 14,140 square meters.
