Though Pennsylvania approved new gambling laws in 2017 which paved the way for gambling expansion in the state, earlier in April this year, the Pennsylvania supreme court struck down a part of the gambling expansion law.
The apex court has now ruled that the provision in the law which allowed the state to collect 0.5 percent of all slot revenues from casinos to fund a Casino Marketing and Capital Development Account be struck off.
