Unibet is moving ahead with its US expansion plans. The online gambling and sports betting operator has launched its second sportsbook in US, in Pennsylvania, partnering with tribal casino Mohegan Sun Pocono.
Earlier in September, Unibet launched its sportsbook in New Jersey. Unibet has signed a multi-year partnership deal with New Jersey Devils. Kindred had secured a Casino Service Industry Enterprise License in New Jersey together with Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Atlantic City last year.
Commenting on the deal, Manuel Stan, Senior Vice President Of Kindred US, said: “We are excited and proud to partner with Mohegan Sun Pocono to welcome patrons to our new sportsbook and offer a great extension to our online product in one of the largest states to regulate both online sports betting and casino.”
Aviram Alroy, Vice President of Interactive Gaming at Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment, said: “We’ve aligned with one of the world’s best online casino and sportsbook operators in online regulated markets, which will allow us to offer a best-in-class experience to our current clients and attract new fans.”
In August, the Dutch Gambling Regulator slapped a €450,000 on Kindred’s Unibet after it was found violating the gambling regulations targeting local customers in the Netherlands without securing the necessary permissions.
The Unibet gambling site which offered online gambling services also offered a Dutch chat service. Moreover, the Netherlands was not restricted as it was not included in the terms and conditions’ list of countries where playing is banned.
