UK-based bookmaker William Hill has become an official partner of the NBA for the 2019-20 season. The betting operator became the fourth partner from the gambling sector with the NBA.
Following the deal, William Hill will be able to use the official NBA league data and branding while offering its gambling products at in-person gambling locations and also on its mobile betting app.
“William Hill is a globally respected brand that has set an early standard for sports betting in the U.S. market,” Scott Kaufman-Ross, NBA senior vice president and head of fantasy and gaming, said in a statement.
“We are delighted to partner with William Hill as they grow their business throughout the U.S. and are excited to work together to provide a world-class experience to our fans.”
For this season, the NBA has already struck a deal with MGM Resorts, The Stars Group and FanDuel as authorized betting operators on a non-exclusive basis.
“We are proud of this creative partnership that benefits our customers and our partners nationwide while promoting legalized wagering on NBA events. The NBA has been a leader in recognizing the benefits of a legal sports betting market,” Dan Shapiro, William Hill, U.S. vice president, said in a statement.
