Women in Games Conference To Be Rescheduled Amid Coronavirus Scare

It has been announced that the Women in Games conference, which was due to take place on 5th March 2020 has been rescheduled amid concerns surrounding the coronavirus outbreak, with a new date yet to be confirmed.

The networking and social conference was scheduled to be hosted between firms Playstudios; a developer of award-winning casual casino games for mobile and social platforms, including POP! Slots, myVEGAS Slots, myVEGAS Blackjack, and my KONAMI Slots, and CrazyLabs; a worldwide leader in casual games development, distribution, and innovation, just three days prior to International Women’s Day to share and discuss the everyday challenges that women face in the gaming industry.

Event organisers have been working around the clock with representatives, including; SciPlay, MoonActive and Playtika among others, before the public announcement of the postponement.

Ahead of the announcement, Adva Lev; Head of Relations and Co-Operations at Playstudios said:

“Women are deeply involved in every aspect of gaming, from product development to game design, marketing, and operations. This is an opportunity to start a conversation about how we can attract and enable more women to join the gaming and technology industries. Together, we can create mentorship and training programs to give women and girls the confidence to pursue careers in computer science.”
